Can I tune the VVE with LTFT on?

Guys can I tuned a 2018 camaro VVE in closed loop using fuel trims? Trying to fix the idle just got a stage 4 cam on it and I'm fighting to get it idle right. First time tuning a big cam on the LT1 233/257 duration.

You probably want LTFT's disabled in the idle area with a cam that big. Post up the tune files. Technically you can edit VVE regardless of trims, but if you're trying to edit it based off data, the data will be wrong. A starting point to get a cam like that to idle better is to put VVE and VT back to stock. Then from there reduce the VVE by 15-20% in the sub 1200 RPM areas. Lower VT in the idle areas by 20-25% as well. Then lower the crank VE from 100 to 70(maybe have to play with this a little). Essentially the values in this table are what percent of the current VVE table will be used for cranking fuel. 100 means it will consider the VVE table correct in the crank area. 70 means it will treat it like its only 70% of the values of the VVE table in the crank area. Essentially less fuel. There is a lot more to it to fine tune idle, but if you screw up the VT and VVE it will never idle right.

Will try that see if it works, it idles but in gear giving gas and letting go it just shut down.

Assuming the cam has a phaser lockout and stays at 0?
