    Hi Guys
    newish here, been on trans side of things for a while with a ford swapped truck and learned enogh to carry on into the engine side of things.

    this new truck is a swap but running the dodge trans and is bone stock, the turbo gate is stuck shut so it will make boost (a bit much) but I have a new turbo when time allows.

    i have read here for about a month took HPA course to help my knowledge etc, I have been working on diesels in general for years and selling all kinds of tuning so it was time to learn some more.

    i have used just about all the tunes on here with decent results but seems like I hit a limiter, zero smoke and egt's 1000 on high side. one thing I dislike is the TV cable on this thing and it does shift a bit high but at the same time almost like if it was making some power my foot may not be tucked to the floor. one the best things I found was base fueling and that helps but so so at best. letting off and back on the throttle is runs fine just lacks making power.

    the tune attached is a mild rework of stock mostly just to start off a stock file and not someone else's work, I have ran pulse up to 2800 in the 140mm3 range with no noticeable change. short logs seem to hold rail psi and I'm learning towards a limiter. i have tried disabling most all of them same thing. i have not ran this file with the changes I made tonight but they are minor, I will flash this one in tomorrow but all in all I know it is not going to be anything to write home about more so looking for input on what I'm missing and any info on limiters etc, plan to work on this over the week and spend Saturday on this logging etc

    ok so i made a new tune spent some time fixing what i thought, added timing, fuel etc and drove pretty darn good. small puff when i hammer it which i have not seen before.
    i logged my drive home which was slow as heck but gave it a few stabs, log and tune attached. i feel my timing is being held back just not sure but i will run this tune in the morning and give it some throttle

    i almost feel like i need to fuel earlier and i did get the TV cable/shifting much better today. looking for more mid-range power please let me know guys

    Your fueling is being held back which is holding back everything else.

    why do you think so? or is there anything you see in the last tune? I see your posts and have read through everything but still, I can't see where or what is holding it back

    i bumped transient and low altitude part throttle gov to all 200's but i already it disabled I'll try that after work and see

    Raise rpm limits and PID Feedback rpms, reset rpm, min rpm and max rpm. They are all part of algorithms to reduce fuel as rpms rise.

    definitely worked great, thank you sir!

    it has a stumble when i hit hard but in the right direction for sure, if you have a few seconds to look at this any advice i'd gladly take. 25degrees and 2500us
    i have been selling and flashing forever and glad i took a leap here, give new laws in Ontario it would be hard to sell any tunes but plan to stay with it and be more of an active member here.

    With that deadbeat loser Trudeau and his future communist/socialist plans for Canada, eventually the whole of Canada will be out of being allowed to have custom tuning for vehicles. Not looking forward either to the destruction his bum buddy Biden is going to help facilitate in North America with Trudeau once Biden takes control of the Oval Office. The future of North America is bleek with leaders like those two.

    i hear that, i had a visit from the MOE at my shop last year really put a wrench into anything cool for say we are now following suit with Cali and cannot sell anything non CARB approved.

    That?s funny because California got shit on hard by the EPA and forced to downscale their regulations as their were told, they cannot superceed federal regulations.

    In reality though, Canada has had the same regulations as the USA for decades in regards to removing emissions related equipment and such, been illegal for many a years, most authorities in Canada just don?t enforce the regulations.

    they only started here enforcing the laws jan 1/20, before that I could sell it just not install etc.

    after doing so much homework before I started this tuning I wonder how or if I could emission on stuff without plugging up dpf's. i saw in the courses they kept talking about an opacity meter to see smoke/soot pre dpf but wonder what the market would be like to cover all the costs. everyone still wants delete tunes and I keep says no after the MOE crap. hard to say the future for sure

    Majority of tuners have turned to emissions intact tuning only. Big name tuners at least.

    Haven?t looked at this log but with the first log you uploaded with your tune, since you aren?t logging fuel quantity in it, I can backtrack trough tables from using rail pressure, rpm and pulsewidth to see what the fuel quantity is reaching to and where you are reaching up to in the timing tables and such, could see it wasn?t even reaching your max commanded fuel quantity. You hadn?t touched the rpm limits so that was an obvious for the defueling. Parameters like timing and rail pressure is based off fueling and rpm, if your fueling is being limited, your timing and rail pressure is held back from the held back fueling.

    ok sir thank you, I knew it was hitting a wall for say and for logging that's all I can get off this ecm. i did lots of looking around and comparing file and didn't see anything different in the rpm but 110% you were correct

    Are you using the regular VCM suite or the Beta version?

    i think i have tried both, i just pulled it in to see if i can get that pid to work

    I only use beta version, tends to have the most PIDs available for these trucks

    I can't anything for fuel volume that works in beta, have you got it to work on an 03 ECM before?
