    Exhaust Gas Temps

Is there a good method to log exhaust gas temps? A sensor to use and how to interface it with HP Tuners? The LSJ I have does not originally have a sensor.

Haltech HT-059920 Requires additional Type K sensor and Bung. https://www.haltech.com/product/ht-0...ple-amplifier/
Revelectronics EGT-K is nice. still requires a Type K sensor but it has the required 0-5 volt output you will need for hpt interfacing. https://www.reveltronics.com/en/shop...-systems/egt-k
My personal fav is the DIY AutoTune CANEGT 8. You can use the software to send data to the laptop directly via usb or for the case of interfacing with ecu's and hpt modules, you can use the 0-5v outputs on up to 8 channels. https://www.diyautotune.com/product/...ple-interface/

Standard sensor is a closed tip Type K. Because of the closed tip they have longer life but they are a tad slower in response than the open tip model. I use the closed tip ones all the time without issues. My drag car used to have open tips when i was making cylinder offset corrections but i since replaced those with closed tip because im running methanol and ate a few open tip sensors up due to corrosion related issues.
