    Yet another AFM/DOD question - 2016 Z06 A8

    Hello fellow glutens for punishment,

long time absence from the forum but need some assistance.

I've been around since the LS1/LS2-edit days and the last time time I used my MPVI/VCMeditor was around 2014.

    I recently picked up a 2016 Z06 A8.

There are a few things I'd like to adjust for:
    AFM/DOD disable
    Increase TP sensitivity
    Improve shift decisions and firmness

The vehicle is bone stock with the exception of a Soler Performance TB &TPS controller plus the AFM disabler.

I have removed both the TPS controller and AFM disabler
I don't like the added shudder and weird TC lockups that resulted from the AFM disabler.

I decided to to update my old MPVI and vcm software and try to tune this out myself.

Vehicle licensing and full read went fine.

I read through ~25 forum posts as part of an AFM/DOD search and the advice was all over the board but then again, so were the questions.

I disabled AFM/DOD in the LEAN FUEL settings using the master enable/disable switch.
    Saved the file.
checked it again to make sure the setting was saved.

I successfully flashed it to the vehicle.

Upon restart, the MIL/CEL was on

There were a few codes and I figured maybe there was more to it, flashed back to stock, cleared DTC's and all is good.

Does anyone have any advice or direction as to something I may have missed?
Is there more to disabling 4Cyl. mode than simply flipping the master switch in HPT?

Any advice would be gladly appreciated.
Right now, I'm just trying to get through the AFM/DOD disable before moving on to Throttle lag and transmission tuning.

    Cheers,
    Tarik

    Too many to list.

I redid the entire process but this time i set the rpm disable to 700 first and flashed it with no issue then I disabled it entirely and flashed it again.
This time no codes at all.

One exception, I only wrote to the ecm module this time vs. all 3 last time (including the reflash to stock).

Multiple test drives within the next few hours confirms AFM/DOD never kicked in and zero DTC's.

Now to tackle shift firmness, horrible shifting under partial throttle and TC lockup.

These are just terrible in stock form.

Any update to your tranmission tuning (stock slushbox issues)
...I'm hoping it changed the car 100%
