    98 Silverado Vortec 5.7l Big cam idle

    Hey there,
    Looking for tips on tuning this older 350 with a stage 3 cam. I have done a lot of searching and come up with very little info on working for these. A PCM swap will be performed some time in the future but for now I would like to get this thing idling ok at the very least. Any tips from someone who has worked with one of these would be extremely helpful.

    Add idle rpm, add idle airflow, add idle timing.

    Stage 3 cam.... I love these stages of upgrade references now days. Im curious what size stage 3 is? also the manufacturer. The black box is very basic but has moderate tunabiluty. In my opinion the pcm swap should have been the first thing you did.
    97 ext cab short bed silverado 5.7 411 swap, edelbrock 29135 intake, lightly ported 906 heads milled .035 thou. factory press in rocker studs & rockers, comp 787 retainers & stock locks, ls6 springs. Comp cams 08-503-8 T56 swap

    I’m going to develop a camshaft and call it the stage 10 donkey d@ck cam and probably sell them like hot cakes....

    Until someone comes out with a stage 11....

    But yes cam stages drive me crazy, then people tel me valve lift and that’s it.... ugh, ok rant over
