Thumbs down All I want to do is disable my 04 Corvette Z06's "Service Traction Control" message

Is my only option to spend ~$400 on this HP Tuners device? I replaced my steering wheel position sensor 3 times (Other than an injector my steering wheel position sensor is the only one throwing a code) before I finally took mine and a buddies C5 Z06 to the track and realized the traction control was working perfectly fine. That's all I care about, but the annoying message on the cluster is constantly flashing and showing lights. I really only want to get rid of this traction message also causing the seperate traction control light, don't want to mess with anymore unnecessary troubleshooting or paying more than I already have to fix it Are there any solutions out there? Thank you from Virginia

HPTuners wouldn't even be able to help you with your chassis control, unless I'm mistaken. Just take it to a dealer to have the steering angle relearned, thats probably why the light is on in the first place. Or find someone with a Tech2

You may need to have the Body Control Module replaced. There is a company that sells refurbs pretty cheap. I forget the name but those old C5's are notorious for them going bad.

Why did you replace your steering wheel sensor 3 times?

Also, look into a device called VCX Nano for GM vehicles. You need to be computer savoy to play with one of these, but if you do, you will have a full Tech 2 emulator for your car for less than $150.

Highly unlikely the SWPS was bad. You can get that code from nothing more than an alignment. As said before a relearn is in order so it knows what straight ahead is. It is critical on all the newer electric steer as it gives you that "caster" feel. It is very easy to do
