Some info in case anybody is interested. I could not get my 2007 350Z to connect due to an old operating system using the Kline for diagnostics and data transfer. Looking at the wiring diagram the high speed can system was in place for everything else communication between modules wise. I had our mobile guy that comes to my shop to flash new hardware like TCMs and he was able to flash a EV50d ROM in place of my ev10c ROM and it immediately connected to HP tuners. I'm assuming it changed the data communication through the diagnostic port to the high-speed can network instead of the K line. Just figured I'd drop a line here, maybe it will help somebody. Hpt support told me about the ROMs and what will work but they weren't able to tell me if a later year rom would work in an older computer. Seems like it does. I guess I'll see now what HP tuners can do for my car. if it doesn't do what I need it to do there's always Uprev! I just wanted to try something different.
