Thread: Oil pressure display in VM Scanner

Question Oil pressure display in VM Scanner

I1 have a Gen 5 LT1. When using VM Scanner the oil pressure will not display when the motor is running. I have T'd in a gauge and know there is oil pressure. If I remove the sensor and manually apply pressure and the display works if the motor is not running. As soon as I start the motor the oil pressure display stops working. All other parts of the display work all the time. The oil pressure voltage is present at the input to the ECM all the time. Any ideas?

See if there are other oil pressure channels to log. I have 2 on my l83, one is most of the time at 0 but the 2nd is working.

When I choose oil sender (voltage) I get a correct reading, but I don't get anything on the other 2 channels.

If I start the motor first, then start VCM scanner the gauge works.
