Help w/ Flex Fuel + Manual Trans Setup P01 OS 12212156

I am currently running the following:

    2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, 5.7 L, V8, GM_P01

    P01, ECM, GM Gen3 V8, 4.3L V6

    Hardware: P01, GM Gen3 V8, 4.3L V6

    OS: 12212156

I want to install a flex fuel sensor so I can run E85. I also plan on running a pro charger also. I found a tune file from Sloppy Mechanics wiki that has flex fuel enabled, but it has an automatic transmission and is not the same operating system. The segment swapper is greyed out when I try to swap transmissions.

Does anyone have any information on this or how I can go about converting to flex fuel with my ECM? Would it still work having an automatic transmission in the tune even though I have a T56 Magnum?

The Camaro OS doesn't have Flexfuel capacity and you can't segment swap 2 differents OS.

For the manual transmission just take off the Auto DTC, CAGS (doesn't have skip shift on Magnum anyway) and just put the trans table from 4L60e to "Manual"

Ok so you think it should be ok to just disable the Auto Trans tables in the tune? That was what I was going to do, but wasn't sure if it would give me problems. I am not sure what tables it defaults to when you disable the trans them for like P/N. I am sure you dis

Disable the auto trans by select manual and delete DTC codes related to auto transmission and that's it for most of it. I'm planning to swap my 4L60e to T56 Magnum next month, so I'll figure it out if there are some little tweak to do with it.

For the OS, you should use a truck OS with flexfuel capable but the risk is to lost the ASR/ABS/Airbag etc everything that work with Class 2. The Hummer H2 6.0 2006 work good with mine. I just lost my asr that I don't need it anyway. Maybe you can try the 2004 GTO OS, more related on the pinout to the Camaro, but it's just a guess.

Thanks. oops I just realized I stopped typing in the middle of my last post haha.

I have a P01 ECU from camaro/firebird 2002. Can you run a 2004 OS on my P01? I thought you had to stay within the ECU like P01 to P01.

I have a 408 stroker in my E36 BMW so I'm not worried about much else, just getting it to run correctly. The operating system I am planning on running is a 12216125 which has the flex enabled and running a 2 bar enhancement off of 2002 chevy silverado gm_P01.

Changing the drop down menu from 4L60e to manual does nothing. The base file is still an automatic.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I don't think in this case there is another OS that I can segment swap as no vehicle with an operating system with Flex enabled ever had a manual transmission, they were all automatic.

    5FDP,

Do you think it would still work ok with a base automatic tune file running with a M6?

I?m curious to know the same thing... has anyone successfully ran a Flex Fuel OS with a manual transmission? I doubt its as simple as switching the drop down tab and disabling the DTCs. But maybe i?m wrong.

Yes, the automatic file will work in a manual transmission application. You will need to delete all transmission related DTC's.

The best solution is to just swap to a P59 so you can have 3bar option. If you only plan on 15psi or less the Tahoe OS will work though.
