2016-2017 Toyota Landcruiser 200 series twin turbo diesel

I'm starting a new thread for anyone else looking for a base file for this model.

I am chasing a 2017 - 2018 LC 200 series stock file. The twin turbo 1vd-ftv diesel engine with DPF. If anyone has this stock file, could you post it here please.

I'm excited to tweak this engine and especially the trans to help that 6th gear stay engaged! Anyone played with these much?

    Thanks for any help.

My intentions for this vehicle, once I have possession is obviously to increase torque, improve fuel economy and get the transmission shift points at cruise speeds to a much more usable level. And of course to give back to the forum with any findings.

    Tune File

TNT76 did you get a file? I am also interested in tuning that 6th gear.
    Any info would be appreciated.

    Hello.

I sent TNT76 a 2019 file a while back. I've had a look at your file and reduced shift and TCC tables by 20%. I have been running this in mine for a bit but still playing

Use at your own risk - I'm not a pro tuner

raise the smoke limit, boost, rail pressure, and 1-2 degree timing

Can’t find a table for smoke limit ?

    Diesel Fueling>Main Injection Limit

There is a base limit, gear-based limit, and MAF-based Limit.

I would raise the base and gear limit higher than where I want it to be, so probably 100mm3 and set the MAF-based limit to tune the fuel. Just make sure you leave the base values at 0mm3 at the high rpm range, so you don't remove the rev limiter.

for the MAF limit table, I would make it rich during turbo spool with some smoke around 55-60mm3 (14.5-16 afr) and then target 18afr at full boost, which is around 80mm3 on the twin-turbo land cruiser

    Thanks for the info

Which table is the main injection timing on this engine ? Do you also change pilot injection timing at the same time

Ok, I'm back on board and ready to take off from where I left things. Only 4 years ago. Darn covid, life, career, family etc etc. hehe.
I am a matter of days away from taking delivery of a 2018 lx450d and intend on doing all I did from post 1.
Hopefully there is a file in the hptuners server once I read.
Dieselman77, offer still stands. I think we discussed sharing findings via pm. etc etc.
    Shift points are first objective.

I might just keep adding to this thread as I progress. Like a blog.

I've picked up my LX450d and downloaded a base tune via the servers with no problems at all.

I started reducing 5th and 6th gear engagement and disengagement speeds, along with the corresponding TCC lockup.
I have a hill near home as my trial area that I am using to maintain 6th, hitting it at 100kmh and now maintaining 6th. I will be watching load values to determine if I'm trying to hold gear too long.

One question. Why are the axis for shift scheduling 0-128 and not 0-100%. TCC are 0-100%?

    Next instalment.
Timing. I am trying to piece together the timing strategy and how/when the different timing tables are utilized. I am first looking at the fueling mode to determine when pilots, main and post injections are active and then decipher the corresponding timing table. I am having trouble seeing some test changes though. I am thinking the fuel mode tables have triggers we don't have access to yet and not having a full pid list in the scanner is hindering a little. I do have techstream, which helps with timing sources.
