Sporadic AFR reading what does it mean?

    1999 vette gen 3 ls1
Just started the car up after swapping heads, while idling the afr jumps from 10-1 to 18-1 inexplicably. Should I start troubleshooting the sensor or gauge? Car smells a bit like coolant may possibly have a head gasket leak, could that be a source as the off reading? Thanks guys!!

It looks like a bad wideband sensor. The stock sensors don't follow the same pattern.

Check all the connections. Get a video of the behavior.

A jumping gauge can mean allll kinds of things. Its prob a bad sensor but fwiw it could also be an exhaust leak, a misfire, bad injector, but those are far less likely
