    OBD2 Data Link Not Working

I am stumped on getting my OBD2 data link to work.

    Background:
    • I have a 5.7 hemi engine on a run stand
    • The ECU is a 2005 Dodge Ram manual transmission
    • I have traced every wire on the OBD2 port (6 wires).
    • pin #2 goes to C1-38 (PCI Bus)
    • pins #4 and #5 go to ground
    • pin #7 goes to C1-36 (SCI Transmit ECM)
    • pin #12 goes to C1-36 (SCI Receive ECM)
    • It does have power on pin #16
    • pins #9 and #15 not used (SCI Transmit/Receive TCM)
    • I am able to read the tune with HP Tuners and Scan tool on the ECU using a bench harness

I have traced all of the wires with my multi-meter on the ODB2 port and they seem to read as they should. But still no response from the scanner when plugging in to the port. It doesn't even light up.

Any ideas on what to check/trace next?

P.S. Here is a link to the run stand if it helps... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hf_RsOxK1D4

Resolved: I replaced the power and ground lines to the data link port (even though my multi-meter was getting readings) and now it works. I suppose the pins might not have been making good connections???

Anyway, here is a link to the working setup on the run stand...
