Hi, I am new to tuning and I have yet to tune a transmission.
I just bought my test mule car that I tune and learn on it. It is a 2009 HSV clubsport R8 (VE) / 2009 vauxhaull VXR8 / 2009 CSV CR8 which is basically a 2009 pontiac g8 gxp. the car came with bolt ons and cam.
what i've done so far is dialed in the fueling and the idle as it was choppy and stalling. However, since i got it there is a strong/hard shift from N to D its like the 4L60E shift kit feeling from 1st to 2nd gear.
I've compared it with a g8 6.2 file and there many tables were altered. It is not doing it in reverse only in drive.
The rest of the shifting is smooth although there is room for improvement.
Attached is the tune file if someone can shed some light on what to alter or where is the issue.
my best guess is shift pressure but I have no clue on where and what to change in Trans tuning.
