E92 Bench Tuning Harness Issue

I am trying to build a harness to Bench tune an E92 so I can look through it and learn. I cannot get what I have to work, and the one thread that comes up when I search doesn't seem to help unless I just have a dead ECM.

I have read through this thread about 6 times now to check myself and still I get "detect protocol failed". I have a MPVI and have tried the resync already. I also have tried using a 120ohm resistor across CAN+/- and without

Pin 22 - Ground
Pin 39 - CAN +
Pin 40 - CAN -
Pin 51 - Switched 12v
Pin 52 - Battery (Constant) 12v
Pin 70 - Switched 12v
Pin 73 - Switched 12v

What am I doing wrong? I'd like to do this myself instead of buying a harness, but I'm getting frustrated. Please help lol.

This is how my bench harness is pinned out and works with both HPTuners and GM MDI

X1 connector
Battery 12V - Pin 52
Switched 12v - Pin 51
CAN + - Pin 39
CAN - - pin 40

x2 connector
Ground - Pin 73

Ok, thank you. I has read your (or someone else's post of this configuration) and wasn't wanting to buy the X2 connector before verifying that the other 2 pinouts were not correct
