    MPVI Connection Issue <Help>

Tuning on dyno, did 14 pulls and everything was working fine. Did a pull this morning while connected and scanning. Finished the pull, went to make changes in the editor and the connection interface said, "Unable to find VCM. Please make sure cable is connected and key is in the run position".
Tried a know to be good usb cable and it did not work.

This car is costing me money sitting on my dyno, need help ASAP.
    Thanks.

    check your cig fuse.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

did you disconnect from the scanner? I usually just close the scanner program but it definitly needs to be disconnected at a minimum.

Yes I've closed and reopened the scanner (I really need to do one more flash on the editor) restarted my computer, disconnected and reconnected all cables, tried a new cable, verified the functionality of the OBDII port by scanning the VCM with another OBDII scanner and still it cannot find the VCM

so the scanner works fine & connects fine, just not the editor correct, read or write?

    car starts & runs fine?

can you get a vcm info log?

    Okay here's the fix:
I reconfigured the MPVI box through the "Write Config" menu in the scan. She's running great now. Thanks to those who tried to help.

FWIW thats just for standalone data logging as far as I know & shouldnt have affected anything

I don't know how it worked either, didn't make sense so I hadn't tried it earlier. Oh well, car is tunable again.
