1998 Dodge Ram 5.9 gas Tune

Hello guys. I am a experienced tuner but new to Dodge older format. I have a truck that is a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. 5.9 with cam, heads, intake, headers and injectors. I read the computer and the tables are very basic compared to a chevrolet style ls computer. I am looking for the VE table per say for fueling. I see a basic timing table. I was wondering if anyone had experience with these? Thank you for the help.

you go to the following tabs:
ENGINE, then FUEL, then OPEN LOOP/BASE, then click the button FUEL BASE-EGR OFF

if your truck has egr you can either turn it off or also tune that as well

when youre in there you will see the numbers based off of rpm and map. The numbers are injector flow so they arent exactly like they show up when you are logging VE (STFT + LTFT) but since those logs are showing a percentage either rich or lean you can use that as a basis for your adjustments in this fuel base table. So for example if at 2016 rpm and 65.9kpa map the log is in the red showing positive 10 it means the o2 sensors are adding 10% fuel to get to stoich. In that case you need to richen it up and would take whatever the injector flow is in that box in your tune and add half that or 5% to the number and then follow that procedure for all the boxes you had enough data on and then re-log it. You dont want to do the full 10% all at once because most of the time it will overshoot your target due to info being received from the boxes right near the current box.
