    5.7 L31 Tuning

    Hello,

Just purchased a 2000 K2500 with a Vortec 5.7 L31 and 4L80E transmission. I noticed '98-'00 5.7 engines are supported by HP Tuners but many internet users flock to the 0411 PCM with these engines.

What differences does the 0411 offer beyond what is supported by HP Tuners for the stock computer?

I believe it has better internals: Faster processor, more capacity, ETC...
But I'm not expert on this

I like that better internals... yes it processes faster and has far more parameters to fiddle with. If you really want to visualize the difference. Download a 411 express van tune file and compare it to yours.

I personally run an 05 DBC GMT800 L31 tune in a Blue/Green. A step up from the 0411 van tune. Flex Fuel compatibility.

You'll need to find Lextech here on the forums and he'll ask you to email him your name, email, year, engine and transmission your truck has then he'll tell you which spreadsheet you need and he'll sell it to you. I already did my 98 K2500 with an L31 and it only took me a few hours including adding some length to a few wires to make it all sit right
