Can VCM Scanner Read Transmission Codes without engine ECU present.

A question for one off the team at HP tuners. I have a 6L80E running behind a GEN 3 LS1, using a TCM2650 to interface the two, so two DTC connectors one for the engine and one for the transmission. Is it possible with a MPV12 running VCM scanner version 4.8.7 to view transmission diagnostic codes or does the scanner only read the diagnostics codes via the Engine ECU? Thanks

Yes, it will read codes from the t43 without an ECU on the bus.
