    DI torque models with port injection

    I'm actually tuning a different GM DI car, but the gen v v8 stuff is the same. When port injection is added, how do you compensate for the additional fuel changing the torque models? I'm contemplating adding port injection to my car but am hesitant it will cause issues with the a8 trans.

    Great question!!! Same as with meth injection, can mod the PE or mod the tq model... PE easier, but I prefer to mod the tq model. Cylinder airmass will naturally drop with supplemental fuel so just nod the tq model to gain that tq loss back

    Lower the MAF, increase torque model, fine tune with PE. With a manual car you can just edit the coefficient table, but with the autos you usually have to alter the Virtual Torque tables where WOT operates. Essentially you want the reported torque output to match or be slightly higher than what it was before you lowered the MAF and then the transmission will behave.
