E38 Gen 4 6.2L swap uneven/rough under load/lockup
I have a 2010 Silverado 5.3 to L9H 6.2 conversion.
4WD 6L80 with 3.73 gears.
Engine is a fresh build, with wiseco -3cc pistons, and texas speed L92 VVT1 cam (stage 1?)
We installed a Circle D 2 disc converter, 300mm with 2000rpm stall.
We have the converter tuned to lock and unlock like a conventional converter.
When under heavy load and the converter locked I get an uneven running/bumping feeling. It doesn't feel like a misfire. I've experienced it from 1,400 rpm all the way to 2,500rpm.
With the converter unlocked and near stall it will feel uneven, but I feel like the converter is just dampening it.
I added some octane booster, pulled the timing a few degrees, still didn't seem to change much other than slowing me down.
Is it time for a dyno tune, or would one of you guys be interested in taking a look at the tune we are working with? I also took a small clip looking at timing and air mass when the issue was happening. I was pulling a trailer, so I was able to get a lot of load on it.
