Mysterious timing dip at 6000 rpm

I have tuned thousands of Gen 6 camaros and have only come across this maybe 3 times and it seems to be more prevalent or larger dip when adding E-85 to the mix.

I have seen it on 2 2017 Models 1 auto and 1 manual.

This one is a 2016 Camaro LT-1 M6 Cold air kit LT headers Flex fuel sensor

It is obviously some sort of Torque reduction request but from What?

Have you seen this turned off AC then it was gone?

If it starts at 6080ish rpm it's definitely just AC and will stop when you turn the compressor off on the dash. None of the settings in the tune will fix it.

Ha, well rather it be remote than what I did.

Kept a car for two extra days and put gas in it on my dime before figuring it out. I just didn't want to sweat my butt off tuning the car when it was 90* and humid out

Thank you for sharing, we all learned something from it.

Explains why I never seen it on my dyno, I never leave the AC on.

I added to my instructions to make sure the AC is off during logging.

i don't know if the table is accessible in HPT, but maybe in the system settingts you'll find a A/C on/off rpm, I usually set it higher than revlimit as it is done from factory on many other cars, have no idea why they did it this way on the camaros

It is accessible, and set to 7083 RPM enable and disable.

set it higher, trq control starts a little earlier causing the dip, did this multiple times (in WinOLS) and worked fine.

I've maxed it out and never seen it functional.
