    3bar for the I4 guys

I think some people would agree. Having a 3bar option for the lil 4cyl kids so that we can really push some crazy numbers. I have the GM S/C program running on my 2.4L Twin Cam motor, and............. I'm wanting to run more boost quite honestly, as do other people.

I think HPTuners would have a market for a 2/3Bar OS for the I4/I5/I6 engines as there are a lot of guys wanting to throw a turbo or a supercharger on their trucks that cant do it because neither HPTuners nor EFILive have boosted options available...

I'm begging for it. I want to go GT35, but....... well I'd have to bump up the amount of boost the car is getting to be able to make the jump worthwhile, as well as the fact I want to squeeze more out of the GT30 I'm playing with right now. Silly small motor guys, *shakes head*

Sounds like you need to do an aftermarket EMS if you want to do 3 bar.

Yeah, and honestly, that sucks just to go to a 3bar.

Sorry to bring such an old thread back to the top.... BUT.

I have had my HP Tuners for a good while now and I will be honest I love it. I have had the car dyno tuned and I was very happy with the numbers. With a 16g turbo at 15psi I put 284.56hp and 297.58tq to the wheels on a dynojet.

However the drivability is lacking due to the Alpha-N operating system. It has left me with two driving options. Either stay out of boost or drive the car at full throttle. This will only get worse when I go to a bigger turbo.

Now that you have finished with the 2.0 release could you look back into making a 2/3 bar Speed Density OS for the 2.2 ecotec?

    Thank you.

You would think that some of the archetecture would be compatible with already released V-8 OS's. Is the Ecm the same as some LSx based vehicles?

    No.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    Hey Bill,
I am not sure how the two VCMs differ but iirc there were a couple hundred VCMs that went into the 97 cavalier/Sunfire cars that were speed density from the factory. It is kinda hard to find them but if you do purhaps you could work with that for a starting point for the ecotec VCM. But I have no idea what the differences were between the years. Or for that matter how hard it is to make a new speed density OS from sctratch. Either way if you can get it done i am sure we can work out some sort of trade. Maybe my first born or something.

We won't be doing 2 bar for any of the older 4 or 6 cyl pcm's anytime soon.

I have to say as well at least a 2 bar option would be great for the 97-99 J's. 2000+ have GM SC reflash, but pre 2000 does not.
