    Truck barely pulls....possibly pulling timing

    Hey all,
I'm new to HP Tuners as well as tuning but i have a 2010 GMC Denali with a 6.2L completely stock that pulls off really slow unless I hammer it. The check engine light is on with a few codes related to Evap and one knock sensor code. I changed out the knock sensors (still has the code even after clearing) but I scanned it and it looks to me like it's pulling timing when I pull off. I just need to know if I'm reading the spark correctly. I've attached the scan that shows where I think the timing is being pulled but I need someone who is more experienced in HP Tuners to take a look.21-06-04 13-57-03.hpl

Yeah, you definitely have something going on with the spark. Post your tune

Yeah, figure out that knock code still. Did you use a new OEM sensor?

And if you are not running a E85 blend of fuel you need to disable that feature. The truck says you are running 22.7% alcohol content and that will screw up fueling if that is not what you are really running. The virtual flex fuel feature is not very good on those trucks.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Sorry it took so long but I set the Flex Fuel sensor to disabled and tried it but it did the same thing. I downloaded the tune which I'm attaching a long with a new scan file

That P0606 is not a good code to see. It's a processor code. You'll likely have to replace the ECM.

Do you think that would be the reason it’s pulling timing?

It's possible. I've seen them act crazy when that code pops up. Try this as a test...
I just disabled the knock sensors in your tune. Try it and see how it performs.
I wouldn't recommend towing without them, but it'll certainly be fine for a test drive.

FYI disabling KS codes does not disable their function.

That is correct Sir. I didn't disable the codes...just the function.

Why would you do that? Just disable the codes to kill the preemptive timing pull.

It's not throwing the knock sensor codes in the last datalog, so disabling the KS codes wouldn't change anything. But, unfortunately, it is pulling a lot of timing still. It's also throwing a P0606...which is never a good sign.

I’ll try the tune in a few days, do you know if this truck has the same ECM as a 2010 Camaro SS? I have a spare ECM for the Camaro that I could swap in....

It does have the same E38 ECM...but you won't be able to just flash it with HP Tuners and convert it to a Sierra ECM. If you have a friend at the dealership, they can help you out with that.
