    LT4 RPM Limit

Does there seem to be an RPM where LT4 engines have repeatedly been safe or is past the factory rev limiter pushing it a bit? I have tried to research to see what kind of limiter guys are putting on manual cars they tune to at least know an area where it's safe to rev to but am not finding much info on it. Thanks

I wouldn't raise the limiter any more than 200 rpm from factory. You aren't going to make any more power up there anyhow without a cam.

6500 to 6600 is what I've been doing with and raising limiter a few hundred over on auto to leave a little room if low gear over revs a little but I don't tune a lot of LT4 so was looking to see what others were doing. Thanks for the input. I couldn't imagine the factory would set the limiter to not allow a little room for safety and just a few hundred RPM over seems to get them in a good powerband between gears

The LTx bottom ends seem much stronger than even the Gen 4 LS stuff, and I personally rev my stock short-block LY6 to 7400 rpm.

As has been stated, you won't make power up there on the stock cam, but you shouldn't be in any danger of raising the stock limiter up a good bit aside from potentially floating valves.
