Cam phaser lock out

I know this is a repeat topic but I'm totally new to this and tried searching the threads but never came to a single conclusion. My truck is starting the cam phaser problem. And I got a whole timing kit to replace everything in the timing. I also got the lockout blocks. I'm just wondering what all I need to do to my tune to make the lockouts work to the best performance. Truck is an 05 f-150 king ranch with the 5.4

Turn off the variable cam tables. Is usually the minimum and turn the CEL off for VCT. Not cam position the motor still needs that
