Learning to tune

Can anyone point me in the right direction to learn to tune my 17 F150 6 speed? The ford tuning isn't as straight forward as GM. I have searched and found several good write ups, other write ups will contradict what i thought i learned. I prefer to learn how this transmission works and tune vs ordering a tune.

The Tuning School has a manual that covers tuning the 6R80 and 10R80. It covers most of the basic stuff and is certainly good for a beginner.

thank you. i signed up with them yesterday. exactly what i was looking for. great information for beginners. i know have a decent understanding of the transmission.
