If I were to tell someone that they can search for any '08-'13 junkyard LS engine to replace the bad one in a 2013 Suburban ...
Am I correct?
I plan to fix the calibration of course but everything else should drop / plug right in (?)

Technically, the 10-13 Silverado/Sierra engines and the 10-14 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban engines will all interchange with your 13 model.
They all have DOD and VVT. That's the best ones to look for if you want a plug and play solution.
The 07-09 Silverado/Sierra/Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban engines typically don't have VVT, but they do have DOD.
