A lot of codes I can't clear with HP Tuners, or a cheap dongle and app. I have to break out Autel or Xentry and this takes 15 min or more. I get them all the time so it's very annoying.
I don't need to block codes from being recorded, I just want to be able to clear them with HP. So if I set Type 3 codes to Type 6 I can use HP to clear them?
Or does the Type # have nothing to do with being easy or hard to clear?

"Disabled is on. Normal" ----- So Disabled is not disabled at all, but what is "Normal"? Non-permanent that go away on their own?
"Type 3 is permanent set code" ----- I assume means it won't go away on its own.
"Type 6 is off" ----- I get type 6 codes so I guess I don't understand what "Off" means.

Then svvag2000 says Type 3 is pending, not permanent. So which is it?

Surely each Type # means something different? 1 2 3 4 cannot all mean the exact same thing, so what are they?
I googled but can't find any of these Types at all, only the P U etc types.
