Thorttle Data Incorrect in Race Render

Collected the normal parameters through the OBD2 port (Subaru BRZ). But the data shows up as a range between 20-80% as opposed to between 0 to 100%. So, under braking for example, throttle only drops to the teens v. zero, WOT is always 80% max. Car is 100% stock. Any suggestions on whether this is fixable?

(update: best I could figure out was to change the range to 20-80 and then get rid of the actual number displayed)

This comes from how the common Throttle Position parameter is defined by SAE... It's a percentage of voltage between 0 and 5 volts, but in actual practice most TPS sensors report a range more like 0.5 to 4.5 volts, resulting in reported percentages of 10-90% or a narrower range. Certainly a minor annoyance for our type of use, but it is correct per the OBD-II specification, so that's how we got here.

A few cars, like the Nissan 350z, apparently break spec and don't do this, which is kind of nice here, but that's not common.

Sometimes you can avoid this by selecting a different parameter for throttle, preferably one that more closely correlates to your actual throttle pedal input, but that's easier said than done, as the actual availability of parameters varies quite a bit based on the vehicle manufacturer and model.

The other thing you can do is use the automatic range feature when displaying the throttle position in TrackAddict and RaceRender... In TrackAddict, it's the "Throttle (Auto)" option. In RaceRender, double-click on your throttle display object to access its properties box, then make sure the Range min and max checkboxes are un-checked, so that no specific number is being used (or you can optionally set a custom range like 20-80 as well). Unfortunately if you have the number display enabled, that will still show the actual reported percentage.
