Thread: P0038 code

    P0038 code

I have a 2016 charger scar pack, supercharged, headers and high flow cats. I just made a change to the driver demand tables. Right after I got a code P0038. In the tune the rear o2 are disabled. I was looking to see if by mistake I changed something. But o2 tab is all different since updating the software. There are no more disable/enable switches. How do you turn them off now? Would I still get a code if they are disabled?

Figured out what I did. Still would like to know how to disable the o2?s if I ever have to.

The only thing ist to set the activation temperature high.
But you get a code p0138 p0158, even if you disable error codes.
    Maybe a bug in HPTuners.

I believe HPT did this for EPA reasons.

Didn't tell anyone about the change that would occur when updating.

Kinda sneaky, but there may have been legal reasons behind it.

That is what I was figuring. I realized after I loaded the wrong tune. That had it disabled.
