05 GTO PCM swap vin change help

I have a 2005 GTO putting a new (used) PCM in and cant get the vin change to work. Both PCMs have the same #'s on them 12596733 & 12597191

I have tried the vin change and hit commit did the wait 15 seconds and then 30 seconds on/off 2 times

    I did a write entire

The car will not even turn over with the new PCM

Am I missing a step some where

    Any help is greatly appreciated

Have you tried the 30 minute VATS relearn? Not sure if that will work on a GTO because they are really Australian and have their oddities bit it's worth a try.

The E40 PCM VIN must be changed through the VCM Scanner. Not the editor. Hope this helps.

I was like 'no way dude, that's nuts!', grabbed the laptop and went down to my E40 truck because I was going to PROVE YOU WRONG and, well shit, there it is in special functions.
