    Cam sweep triggering knock sensors?

A buddy of mine has a H/C/I 2SS Camaro that we've worked hard on to get the best drivability possible. It has the GPI stage 1 NA cam and the comp cam limiter in the VVT phaser.
I've noticed for a while that in first gear it pulls a bunch of timing when going WOT. I've tried several different things to fix it.

The knock detection is telling me that that there are events in cylinder 1 and sometimes 2. It only does this in first gear, and traction/stability are off. I logged the cam position and the KR does tend to correspond to the cam moving from the lock pin position. Has anyone seen this and if so found a solution?

Car has 100 Octane in it.

What is the Lamda/AFR? You sure it is getting enough fuel?

Based on Injector Pulsewidth and Airmass I would be suspect that it is running lean.

I'm commanding/receiving .88 Lambda. I've also adjusted my SOI to give the injectors a little more time to work in that area. The stock tune was commanding .869 Lambda at that same RPM. I'm more than happy to fatten it up to around .85-.86 there. My airmass is weak because I'm at altitude.

How are you determining your true Lambda? I did not see an Air Fuel sensor in the logs.

WOT was dialed in with a wideband hooked into VCM scanner previously. The car has an AEM wideband in the exhaust with a gauge on the a pillar. I didn’t have it connected into the scanner on that log. I’ll fatten it up, and take another log with the wideband connected.

Edit: just logged the car and commanded vs wideband EQ is right on. I fattened it up and that didn’t help. I also tried pulling timing in the affected area and nothing changed. I’ll post the log when I can.

The problem is always cylinder 1 and everything else is silent. I’m going to start looking at mechanical stuff.
