Possible bricked MED17.7.1 recovery help?

Hi,

I tried to get a read on my 2012 E550 4matic. VCM said that it needed a ecu update first.
It told me to save a file as a backup. (.hpt ~1kb in size). The process went on, it did a few loading screens few verifying screens took about 15minutes, it failed at a certain point and now the car won't start and won't go into gear. Sometimes it will let me write the update but it does not seem to work as the car still won't start.

I did email support about 3 days ago, waiting on their engineers to look into this.

Has someone else come across this issue? Anyone have a solution?

Thats what vcm is bad with (the update) .. always get pcm's bricked.

I think your going to need a new pcm!!

UPDATE

I got it fixed by using vediamo and reflashing a corrupted section of the ECU.
I found the correct .cff files and reflashed. It's working again.

What hardware did you use to get this done? The same thing happened to my spare PCM and I need to fix it.
