If you have the LY6 and the matching computer, the VVT will still function like normal because it's programmed to that engine.
People do engine swaps like that all the time. If all the wiring is correct it will run just fine.

This is just what i thought i was just worried that the ECU required canbus/body controller to make it run ?
Nope, doesn't need any of that. Just the fuse block, engine harness and throttle pedal stuff. The transmission harness too if you are running a 6L90e as well.
