    Previous tune licensing

Looking for some help with a licensing question. I bought a car with an unknown tune. The car runs and drives fine but I'm pretty sure the traction control is shut off and that effects my cruise control. Also, what if I want to make any changes?

So my question is based on the idea it maybe HP Tuners written tune in it. Will I be able to access it if it is an HP Tuners tune or will the licensing require a specific piece of equipment serial number or encryption. Right now I'ts looking like a trip to a Ford dealer for an as built flash and starting all over. This will of course make the car inoperable till I can get it tuned due to the many old mods already on it. I'm trying to avoid that for now.

Reading the ecm is really the only way to know, if the ecm was tunerlocked you likely won't be able to read/license the vehicle.

If it hasn't been previously tunerlocked you'll be able to read/license it with your device without issue more than likely.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
