    2011 Silverado 5.3 to 6.2 segment swap

Can anybody help walk me thru how to do a segment swap? Swapping a 2011 5.3 (with DOD already deleted in the tune) with a new/dealer reman 6.2. Not trying to do any performance work, just want to make the stock 6.2 run correctly. Will be keeping stock 5.3 intake manifold, maf, injectors etc (they're flex fuel injectors, so plenty big enough). Or do I NEED 6.2 injectors to use the stock files? Thanks.

Don't segment swap for something like this. The operating systems (segments are just sub-operating systems) are not different, only the settings inside them are different. Open your existing file and a stock file for the new engine as a compare file. View Comparison Log, go through and right-click & Copy Over Selected Differences for any/all items that are different between the two engines. With a mix of new engine with some old components you might not be able to just do the whole entire Engine section in one go.

If you use the 6.2 injectors copy all the injector stuff from the compare file. If you keep the existing injectors, don't.

OK, that doesn't sound that hard. I may try digging into this this weekend then. Thanks!

On that front though, what would be best to use as stock file for new engine? We're using an L92. Should I just grab an L92 stock file from the depository?

Is there going to be anything available that's a closer match than a file from a same-year truck factory built with the 6.2?
