Logs & Dyno Charts From TB, Air Intake, and Exhaust Testing

    Hi guys:

I just tested 103mm vs. 87mm throttle bodies, AFE vs. GMPP intake w/ BMS filter, and Borla 2.75" vs. Billy Boat 3" x pipes on a 2016 C7 Z06 M7. Mod list aside from parts tested is free flow exhaust with stock mufflers, 2.3 upper pulley, Kong Ported supercharger, and tune. MAF tuning was adjusted for each intake. Some of the results were surprising. Horsepower overall was down from previous session, I assume because it was 90 degrees this time.

Can any of you tuners provide some insight as to what your trained eyes see of interest in the logs? Any explanation as to throttle body results or any other parts? Thank you.

    dyno- 87mm, GMPP, Billy Boat 3 Inch-X, (5) 9-15.hpl

The 103 really isnt worthwhile IMO unless you do a full tilt port and upper and lower pullies. All of the runs look really close from a data perspective. What I see is that the 3 inch X pipe gained the most overall power vs the 103 over the 87mm. The intake tract doesn't seem to be a restriction at this level.

Thank you for taking a look at that. That is what I got from it. The 3" X added 18 ft/lb when comparing points on the curve. I almost got lazy to swap out and test the x pipe, but I'm glad I did. I was really surprised by the throttle body though, especially with the ported supercharger. The 5hp shown is just a blip in one small spot, so I don't think that can even be considered a usable gain, prob. just dyno error.

Do the manifold temps seem right for 90* ambient air?
