    Timing tables

hi im new and ive got an 99 truck with the famously anemic timing tables ive got my fueling done unless it changes a lil bit after the spark tuning its a p01 im ready to start tuning the spark tables and im looking for some pointers and possibly some other tuned tables to compare to so i can get an idea what these engines like and then build my own tables from there this truck is stock except for cold air deleted cats and a free flowing muffler nothing else

Several youtube vidoes that cover the process and show you how to get there in the program. Big picture is you want to copy the High Octane spark table to the Low so you don't deal with any potential transitions, then start adding timing until you get increasing knock counts. Whenever you get knock, you remove some timing (this is highly debated, I've heard between 1 and 5 degrees from various tuners). Your setup is important to know, such as if you're running MAF or SD, what type of fuel (pump, 91/87, E85).
