I have a customer that has purchased a 2019 2500/L5P at auction, with what appears to be a new pcm installed (case is new looking/shiny, rest of the truck isn't). He is wanting to tweak a few things in the PCM, but we're not sure if the PCM has already been sent out to be modified or not.....
Is there a way to tell before we removed/sent it off? Can you just try to read/license/write to it, and if it fails assume it still needs the unlocker service?

Send a support ticket in with a VCM Suite log, there should be enough information there for them to determine if it was previously unlocked.
