    How to soften shifts

Hey guys I have a 2012 Camaro SS with GPI SS1 cam and the 6l80. I think I have almost got the tranny the way I want it except for the 1-2 and the 2-3 shift. They are neck snapping shifts. I do have torque management disabled right now do I really need to turn it back on to reduce the harsh shifts or is there another way to do it like decreasing the shift pressure upshift on the pattern x for normal mode only? Thanks

If you keep asking the same question and ignoring everyone who says to turn trans TM back on, eventually people are going start to think it's a waste of time to keep replying.

I was simply asking if I need TM to soften the shifts or is there another way around it?

So I turned all the TM stuff back on and it helped 1-2nd gear but not 2-3rd.

shift inertia tables start by deducting 1 to anything under 3
    see if that helps

So deduct 1 for anything under 3 or 4? And just to the 2-3 shift right?

You turned on the wrong TM. Everything you changed is in the Engine section and will only affect things while its IN each gear. Set all of that back how it was.

Go to... Transmission > Torque Management > General - Look in the top right corner for the tab Torque Reduction - Upshift. Toggle that to Enable. That will enable your upshift TM.

From that point, your TM will likely need to be logged and dialed in, but thats just part of it

What a minute. Back to where the tuner had every thing set on the engine side where everything was disabled or back to stock?

ok, so I turned the Torque Reduction on. At first is was making a weird sound in 2-3 but it eventually went away. Now it does shift quite a bit differently. It seems like in every gear change it gives a little rev. And now it doesn't shift at 6130 rpm anymore it shifts at the mph in the wot shift speed. So how do I make it shift at 6130 rpm? Do I just raise the wot shift speed beyond where it would normally shift at and then the full throttle shift rpm will take over? Thanks

If it shifts earlier than your desired RPM but at the desired MPH, then yes, raise the MPH until it reaches your target RPM

It almost sounds like the throttle closes in between shifts. Could someone take a look at this log and tell me what they think. Thanks

Are you talking about the timing pull between shifts?

That is normal and you do want that.

Side note, this thing is commanding a lot of fuel for a NA cam build. I'd want a wideband on this stat to fix the fueling.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I don't know where you are seeing the timing pull on the log because I guess I don't know what I'm looking for. I was looking at the spark and don't see anything change. And will the commanding the higher fuel hurt anything?

Definitely pulling timing during a shift.

Only thing the high af will hurt is your horsepower.

You create it in the scanner. Start right clicking and exploring the menus. Can do heaps of shit with it.
