    4L60e shift at high rpm

    Hello, i have a Blazer 4.3 with 4L60e, Np233+Np231, 3.53 ratio y tires 40". The gears happen to me at high revs . Someone could help me with the setting. I want you to move calmly and not demanding. Greetings.

    I used Hptuners speed checker on my original data
    104.121 pulse per mile
    2555.9175 trans rev/mile
    and it gives me as result:
    71230 ~ mile
    1781 ~ mile

    reading post the calculation give according:
    PPM x (Old diameter/New diameter)= new PPM ----> 104121 x (29" / 40") = 75487.725 mile
    Trans revs / mile ----> 75487.725 / 40 = 1887.1931 mile

    wich is the correct formula , I have 4.3 stock with 4l60e, 3.53 ratio and 40" tire.

    Your numbers look to be reasonably close.

    I come up with the following:
    - ECM 9050 (Final Drive ratio) to 3.53
    - ECM 5002 (Trans rev / mile) to 1780
    - ECM 9000 (VSS pulses per Mile) to 71194

    You did not post your tune - the problem could be the WOT shift settings (RPM and / or Speed).

    I only took a brief look at your tune. The overall setup appears to be OK.

    It is possible that the "Hot Mode" settings are causing problems. For whatever reason, in a conversion setup, the PCM / ECM will sometimes use the Hot Mode settings - even when the transmission fluid is not "hot".

    Try setting ECM 15012, 15022, and 15332 to the same values as the "Normal" settings.

    what do you mean by that, i?m new to this topic , it?s my first setting. What of "ecm 15012,15022 y 15332...."

    OOOo I understood, but i do not have ECM 15332. Chech and they are fine, they are the same.

    My apologies 15332 was typo - it should read ECM 15002.

    ECM 15002 - Transmission > Shift Scheduling > Part Throttle Shift Speed > Hot

    ECM 15012 - Transmission > Shift Scheduling > Full Throttle Shift Speed > Hot

    ECM 15022 - Transmission > Shift Scheduling > Full Throttle Shift RPM > Hot

    In the tune that you posted, the above tables are NOT the same as their corresponding "Normal" tables. Populate the above tables with the same values are their "Normal" mode counterparts.

    The ECM 15012 table (Transmission > Shift Scheduling > Full Throttle Shift Speed > Hot) is been setup backward - such that if it did upshift - it would then almost immediately downshift again.

    I insist, the tables are the same, it may be the variation in the unit of measurement.

    This point I do not understand. You could be a bit more specific. Sorry for being insistent.

    1->2 37 =>37
    2->3 73 =>73
    3->4 90 =>90
    2->1 33 =>32
    3->2 71 =>68
    4->3 75 =>80

    such a correction could it be?

    Attached is a photo (JPEG).

    The values that you are quoting are those that are in the tune that you posted - and regardless, are not the same as the Normal tables.

    Hopefully this helps explain things ... I have taken you as far as I will.
