Attached is two files for a 2012 E550 M278 twin turbo v8

First file is the stock rom

2nd is its current tune, shows 650+ tq calculated, and is smooth as stock.

Car is all stock other than being strait piped



Best thing I could recommend to anyone trying to tune one of these, Just raise limits and focus on wot areas.

First richen boost fueling, then

Slowly work up high load tq and load %, keeping boths commanded vs actual inline and scaled accordingly.

Youll max out calculated tq quicker than youll expect and adding anymore peak boost is pointless.

Once you found what peak boost level yielded the highest tq and load %, then focus on the boost curve

Max boost curve should still ramp in like stock but to your peak boost, and command it to carry that peak boost out as far as possible

Timing table I just smooth and adj its max scaling as needed

This adds a safe 150tq+ while keeping everything smooth like stock, in just a few flashes

I'm looking for AMG version for m278 if it is even existed, not sure if S-class have S550 amg or not.

wanna pump my stock car tune little bit and I feel the safest way is to copy from AMG version.

We have to get HPT to crack OBD access to the TCM, and add it to VCM Editor. That would be a legendary upgrade to the software.

Thank you for sharing! I found out, that there are quite big difference between A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG (someone should check GLA45 AMG also. I did send feedback to HP tuners and they have been fixed almost all issues I asked in latest beta. Soon should be even more! I did miss couple of important differences. This is good news to us A45 AMG users . Big thank you for HP tuners engineer team! Hope they will add same updates to both/all m133 platforms, because they use same m133 engine and same ECU. Somehow OS aren't same.

I managed to test it and it seems much better to tune this car. Some limiting factor did go away.
