The best advise I can give you to "tune" a 4L60e is to pull it out and put a 4L80E in it's place.. That's the best "tuning" you can do for that trans.
There is a program out there by blue cat that will allow you to put in some data and then it will spit out data that you then cut and paste into the tables in your tune. This typically results in a trans that shifts quickly, and very hard. But... thats usually what everyone wants. What exactly are you trying to "tune" for the trans? Shift points? Line pressure? Lock up mph? The information you are looking for can be found on youtube if you use the search bar there. You don't need to buy a book. Just figure out what exactly it is you are wanting to change with the trans, and then address those specific fields that will achieve the result you are after. Whatever you do, leave torque management active. That is the ONLY thing saving that transmissions life.
