Hi just purchased a mpvi2 to tune my car and new to tuning.
Got it conected to the vehicle and pcm but now it has a error msg.
Definition fail to load. You will be unable to edit the file. Please email this file to [email protected] with a VCM suite info log.

Need help with pcm. the vehicle is a 2007 subaru wrx G3 when pluged in and have to enter the vin it comes up as a 2008 wrx but wont read the file. emailed HP TUNERS and was advised the vehicle has to be put back to factory.
I found a second hand factory pcm the same and tried it and still wont read keep getting error msg.
would it be possible to write a later model vehicle file to this std pcm?
I don't want to over write the tuned pcm as it a good tune file in the vehicle.

HP tuners does not like to read and flash an ecu if it has an existing cobb tune loaded on it.
