Converting PCM. camaro dbc to corvette dbw (p01)

Hey guys,

Im trying to help a friend get a swap running. He lives a bit far from me, so im trying to nail this in one shot if possible.

Its a stock ls1 engine with boltons and 4l65e going into an old pickup truck.
So i will be doing all the usual things to make that swap run right.

However, the PCM he brought me is for a 97/98 corvette.

I have a spare P01 PCM from a 99 fbody here and ive been told you can convert them.

What is the best way to go about this? Do i download a stock calibration from the repository for a 2002 corvette automatic and do a write entire?
Would this take 2 credits or 4 credits to do?

I believe i remember converting my 2000 p01 to run the newest OS in my personal car.
Is that something that can be done with this conversion as well?

Ive been away from tuning for a while and forgot a whole bunch of stuff.
Any help is appreciated.

So, from what i gather as long as its a P01 PCM w/ red and blue connectors, and matching TAC module and pedal to the OS, i can do a write entire with the 2002 automatic corvette file.

Any other considerations to be made other than all the usual swap stuff?

If his harness is the Corvette's, it won't plug into the p01 without swapping pins into the p01 connectors. See 97-98 Corvette to 99-03 PCM swap. Otherwise you can write the 02 os to the 99 PCM and it should work. The Corvette pedal and tac from the 98 will work with the 02 os.
