    Ltft

    Why do I see so many people disabled LTFT in there tunes what's the purpose or reason for doing this?

    Mainly because the short term fuel trims can do the job still. Perhaps big engines with large camshafts don't play to well with long term trims.
    2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

    The ltft's are sometimes turned off to keep them from affecting the AFR in Power enrichment. For example: The long terms are at +5%, when you enter power enrichment (open loop accel/decel) That 5% is added to the fueling, so you end up 5% rich. If the LTFT is negative it goes to zero. Some tuners turn them off just to make it simplier to tune.
