Quick thought. The RAF did not seem that far off in the 170 and 212 cells while logging the cold start. Then while driving towards the end of the log, the RAF is way off. Why would this be?

Also, it seems that we are going in the right direction. Definetly feels much better until the RAF got hosed up and then the bucking became more severe. You will see that the IAT climbs pretty high at one point as I had to drive somewhere and leave the car running. After that, the bucking got bad. Before that I had to actually hunt for the bucking surging. Weird. Any thoughts. Regardless, it it was much better.

thats prob because it was letting a lot more air in through the IAC, never really paid attention to it, but since I took out my IAT I never had any kind of bucking from the cam, not even in spots I would expect it...

IAT delete? I am interested. Than damn thing is nothing but trouble. Gets heatsoaked bad everytime that I park the car. I saw the write up on moving it to the EGR location (by SoundEngineer) but I am not crazy about drilling a hole in my $1200 intake.

I really would like a lay explanation on the Throttle Follower and how different settings actually effect the motor. I think that it is weird how the cells are broken up by TPS yet it is reall close values to like 3.5% and then it jumps to 13 or whatever. Also, what would happen if you zeroed it out completely.

I just put a resistor in place of it and thats it. Stays at 55* all the time. Fueling changes, but not as bad as with the IAT in there. In 40* changes the car doesnt really change much.

Throttle follower opens and closes the IAC based on throttle chagnes, you can get more response with higher values, but I have found the low values let a little too much air in at low TPS and it can surge.

OK. I could do that. Could you give me a parts list and tool list? Also live in RPB, FL.

All you need is a resistor, I think mine is 4 kohms. Take IAT out and put that in. I would advise you have something in the car to always monitor the fueling though just to be safe.

Do you solder it in between the contacts on the connector on the plug? That sounds easier and consistant. My temperature in Florida is between 60 to 90 F pretty much year round. Once you do this, do you try to tune in the hottst temp, lowest temp or as close to inbetween as possible?

Christian, gonna go with the resistor method. Don't bother with the parts list.

Try to tune in the coldest temp, as it heats up the car will just go rich, but wont lean out on you at least.

I just plug the resistor right into the IAT connector and tape it up.

Is there a way to scan what the motor wants vs what is really happening? Similar to the VE Table and the STIT + LTIT PID for adjusting the RAF.

    Yeah.

Also, any ideas what would cause the RAF to go so negative after driving a while? Should I resolve the IAT problem before going any farther or is that unrelated (as soon as I start driving the IAT goes back down but the problem remained). Perhaps something is being learned and screwing me up? Should I be resetting antyhing everytime that I tune? What "effect" do the decay and delay tables have?
