Would like to trial the software, but 3 minute limit on input files?

I have downloaded the trial and will likely purchase the software if everything works as advertised, but I want to make sure it will work with my video and data sources properly first.

I fully understand having a 3 minute output limit with the trial version, but it seems that the trial won't even allow me to use any input files longer than 3 minutes? I just get an error message after trying to import the first video.

Attached is the warning message I am getting. Is this message due to the gopro footage being longer than 3 minutes, or is this some other error that I am encountering?

This is on macOS Monterey version 12.0.1, on an M1 Mac if that helps.
