Need info on tuning a 2017 Ram after MDS delete

2017 Hemi Ram has suddenly started the death tap of a failed lifter. We are going to do an MDS camshaft change. Cam I purchase an HP Tuner that can add a custom tune? Will I still have to have the pulsar reflashed?
