    Shift schedule calculator 2 PRIME-3 UPSHIFT/DOWNSHIFT?

    When using the tuning schools shift schedule calculator what is 2 prime- 3 upshift/downshift. I purchased the Tuning Schools Dodge transmission guide and it does not specify. I'm trying to teach myself to get into tuning. This is on a 68rfe transmission file.

    I've only used their ZF8HP spreadsheet so I assume you're referring to another tranny. They offer free support for 1st year so you may want to try them.

    So when using the chart with the 68rfe HPT Editor it does not have a parameter for 2prime-3. do you skip that in the calculator?

    2 prime to 3 is the same as 3 to 4

    Like they appear different by the wording but they are the same. 2 prime is 3rd gear and 3 is 4th gear.

    1=1
    2=2
    2prime=3
    3=4
    4=5
    4prime=6

    Better off just lighting $200 on fire rather than buying that book if looking to lose $200. It?s nothing more than their own personal preference of settings for each transmission. Doesn?t actually teach or explain anything of value.

    Absolutely, what do you recommend is the best tuning path to learn with?

    Experimentation to find what you like is the only source to learn on transmission tuning
